Member Vinyasa Yoga | Laura Mooney

Laura tried her first vinyasa class in 2011, where she immediately recognized that she had very tight hips and a lot of self judgment. As she continued to return to the mat, she noticed the sense of relief that yoga provided her body physically, as well as the transformational mental and emotional benefits that coincided with the practice.

Laura completed her 200-hour teacher training in 2015, where she then taught at numerous yoga studios and fitness centers across the Boston area prior to moving to Rhode Island in 2022. To Laura, yoga is not about the instagramable asanas and how someone looks while doing the poses, but the importance of how it can change how we feel from the inside out (while simultaneously increasing flexibility and strength). She aims for her classes to be an approachable and inclusive space for all participants, while focusing on combining the breath with an active vinyasa flow.
