Role Description
Job Title: Housekeeping
Reports To: Property Team Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt, Full time & Part time
Position Summary
The Housekeeping team member is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall presentation of guest rooms and public areas at Shepherd’s Run.
This role is essential to the guest experience, ensuring all spaces are clean, safe, and prepared to meet the property’s standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Guest Rooms & Public Areas
- Clean and maintain guest rooms including:
- Making beds
- Refreshing rooms
- Cleaning bathrooms
- Dusting, vacuuming, and organizing furniture
- Clean and maintain common areas including:
- Public restrooms
- Hallways and shared spaces
- Dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
Spa & Wellness Areas

Clean and maintain spa and wellness facilities including:
- Locker rooms
- Gym
- Pool area
- Yoga and wellness spaces
- Living Room

Assist with pool covers, pool maintenance and cleaning
Laundry & Linen Management
- Wash, dry, and fold linens, bedding, and cleaning materials
- Follow proper procedures for handling soiled linens
- Restock linen closets and maintain organization of supplies
Inventory & Organization
- Maintain clean and organized housekeeping storage areas and carts
- Monitor inventory levels of linens and cleaning supplies and notify management when restocking is needed
- Ensure all equipment and materials are properly stored and maintained
Property Support & Cross-Departmental Assistance
- Assist with kitchen support including dishwashing, glass polishing, and basic prep as needed
- Assist with winery operations including bottling, labeling, and general cleaning when required
- Support vineyard and outdoor tasks as needed
- Assist with event setup, breakdown, and general property readiness
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all sanitation, safety, OSHA, and health regulations
- Maintain a safe and secure work environment at all times
- Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety concerns promptly
Lost & Found / Reporting
- Properly label and turn in all lost and found items
- Communicate room status and any issues clearly to the Property Team Manager
Qualifications
General Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous housekeeping or hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Schedule & Availability
- Variable schedule including weekends and holidays
- Availability based on occupancy levels, events, and operational needs

Physical Demands
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions throughout a shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments as needed
- All work must be performed safely; employees are expected to seek assistance if a task cannot be performed safely
