Julia Anne completed her 200 Hour Integrative Vinyasa Flow yoga teacher training with Coral Brown at All That Matters in Wakefield, RI in 2019. A banker by day, she began her yoga journey twenty two years ago after the birth of her second son, initially with the goal of improved fitness and flexibility. In the following years she has come full circle, developing a passion for the mental, spiritual, and physical practice. She feels very fortunate to have also studied with several very experienced teachers in southern RI who have shared their knowledge including Coral Brown and Tamsy Smith. By embracing a more holistic approach to fitness and wellness, she discovered that yoga practice, combined with some other alternative healing methods, fully transformed her physical and mental health including a chronic back issue that she had lived with all her life. She attributes her yoga practice to helping reduce stress and anxiety and to promoting overall good health.
“I am so passionate now about my practice and teaching allows me to share this enthusiasm with others. When I am not practicing yoga or being a banker, I enjoy hiking, biking, tennis and gardening and creating healthy vegan (almost) recipes”.
Julia Anne has taught classes at Community Yoga RI, High Street Yoga and at the Education Exchange. She traveled to Rishikesh, India in 2019 on a yoga, spiritual, and cultural pilgrimage.
