The Role
The Wedding Sales Manager plays a central role in guiding couples through the curated Shepherd’s Run wedding journey. This position is responsible for creating warm, meaningful, and organized client experiences from inquiry through booking, while collaborating closely with all departments to ensure each couple feels welcomed into our estate and supported throughout their planning process. As an on-site, office-based role, the Wedding Sales Manager maintains a strong presence on property, working hand-in-hand with the events team, tasting room, spa, inn, and operations teams to uphold Shepherd’s Run’s values of hospitality, authenticity, and excellence.
Responsibilities
Creating The Shepherds Run Wedding Journey
• Respond promptly and warmly to all wedding inquiries, setting the tone for the Shepherd’s Run experience.
• Craft personalized wedding journeys that highlight the unique amenities of the inn, spa, winery, and property.
• Conduct guided property tours that help couples envision their celebration at Shepherd’s Run.
• Prepare detailed proposals and contracts, guiding couples through revisions and decisions with clarity and care.
• Manage deposits and payment schedules to ensure a smooth and transparent financial process.
Client Relationship & Partnership Management
• Serve as the primary point of contact for wedding couples, fostering trust and confidence throughout the planning journey.
• Lead the couple’s design onboarding appointment, introducing them to rental upgrades, floor plans, and wedding timelines.
• Collaborate with internal department heads including Rooms, Winery, Spa, and Culinary Event Specialists.
• Coordinate with third-party vendors (catering and rentals) to obtain final food, beverage, rental, and staffing orders according to established timelines.
• Maintain accurate client records, communications, and documentation in the CRM.
Meaningful Revenue Contributions
• Support Shepherd’s Run revenue goals by achieving booking targets in a way that remains authentic and guest-centered.
• Assist couples in selecting enhancements such as curated wine packages, private room blocks, or premium experiences.
• Track sales metrics, conversion rates, and pipeline activity to identify opportunities for improvements.
• Collaborate with the Director of Sales on strategies, forecasting, and revenue optimization.
Teamwork & Culture
• Maintain a daily on-site presence to stay closely connected with operations, guest services, tasting room, spa, and events teams.
• Participate in team meetings and share insights to elevate the Shepherd’s Run wedding experience.
• Uphold and contribute to a culture of collaboration, respect, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
• Proven experience in wedding or event sales, hospitality, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple clients and timelines.
• Comfortable using CRM software and managing proposals, contracts, and financial processes.
• Strong proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Passion for hospitality and creating meaningful, memorable guest experiences.
• Ability to work on-site daily, including weekends as needed for appointments.

Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, walk, sit, reach, bend, and perform repetitive motions during a shift.
• Ability to lift and carry 25–50 lbs as required.
• Manual dexterity sufficient to handle tools, equipment, supplies, and technology.
• Adequate vision and hearing to safely perform all job duties.
Schedule & Availability
• This is a full-time, exempt, on-site role. While the position is listed at 45 hours per week for classification purposes, it is not time-tracked, and actual weekly schedules will vary based on workflow and client needs.
• A consistent in-office presence is required to maintain close connection with the property, couples, and operational teams.
• Limited remote work may occur only outside of scheduled work hours (after hours or on days off) when a time-sensitive client matter requires a response, or when a client is only available for an evening phone call.
• Flexibility is expected during peak planning periods, event seasons, and for occasional weekend or evening client appointments.
• Reliable attendance, responsiveness, and a professional presence on property are essential to success in this role.
Certifications & Compliance
• Must comply with all federal, state, and local laws, including safety and employment regulations.
• Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
Appearance & Conduct
• Adherence to Shepherd’s Run appearance and professional conduct standards.
• Maintains a polished, guest-first demeanor at all times.
Technology & Systems
• Familiarity with CRM, POS, and scheduling systems preferred.
• Ability to work within digital documentation and communication platforms.
